According to the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), the number of visitors to the country could surpass the half million mark by the end of the year, reports M&C.
Increasing numbers of European travellers are visiting Nepal with many lured by hiking and climbing expeditions in the Himalayas.
An NTB statement read: "The European market as a whole has shown a healthy growth of 45 percent in July with encouraging figures from top tourist-generating countries.
"The UK market, with the largest share of the total European arrivals, increased by 30.8 per cent while arrivals from Germany and France grew by 33.4 percent and 65.7 per cent respectively."
Tourist arrivals increased by 25 per cent in July and the total number of people flying into Kathmandu Airport has hit 193,211 since the beginning of the year. -RajanTripathi[melbourne,Australia]
